PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU POST!!!!!

Post by bhoward on Sun Sep 11, 2011 10:09 am

Thank you for taking an interest in Sneaky Creek Outdoors. We hope you make this your primary stop on the internet for all things outdoors related. We do however ask that you take a few moments to read through our bylaws concerning the forum. We strive to provide a family friendly atmosphere here on the forums because after all, that's what being outside is all about........good times, fellowship, and down time with family and friends. Two key rules to remember when posting before I go into all the legalese: If you wouldn't post it or talk about it in front of the kids then don't put it on here. Treat others as you would like to be treated. If you can follow these two basic rules, there won't be any problems. So with that in mind, we hope you enjoy your experience and be sure to tell all your friends and family about us.

Now the not so fun stuff>>>>>>>>>>>

The use of it is a privilege and not a right. By posting on the SCO forum you agree to the following terms:

By your use of the SneakyCreekOutdoors.com (SCO.com) forums you agree to and accept the terms of use as outlined below;

The Administrators of SCO.com offer membership in, and the use of, this website and forum to anyone who is willing to register, with no obligation and no charges or fees, as long as you are over the age of 13 due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

Considering the real-time nature of this forum it is impossible for us to review all the threads/posts or confirm the validity of information posted. We try to actively monitor the contents of posted messages but cannot be responsible for any message that is posted.

We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages posted on the forum express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of the Owners or any entity associated with SCO.com.

SCO.com reserves the right to edit or delete a post or thread for any reason we see fit without justification or explanation. We try to be fair and objective however editing is a subjective process which may sometimes seem inconsistent.

Failure to edit or delete a post does not signify endorsement by SCO.com, its Staff, or its Owners.

Though it isn’t common practice for us, we reserve the right to deny access to any member for any reason and with no explanation.

Registration

Registration is required to use the forums, but its simple, fast, and free.

To register you will need a username (you may use either your real name or a nickname), specify that you are over the age of 13, and have a valid email address.

The email address must be valid because you will be sent a confirmation email that must be activated before you can view or post in the forum! This information is for our own use and we will not sell, trade, or give away your email address to any outside source.

Please do not register a username that reflects a business name (i.e. Bubbas Outfitters, etc. ), unless you have received permission from the Administrators/Owners. If you do it will be considered SPAM and the username will be removed.

Usernames that are in poor taste will be removed.

No agents, activists, supporters, or sympathizers of any organization, association, or group whom stated mission or professed beliefs are detrimental or obstructive to hunting or fishing allowed.

Posting of copyrighted material is prohibited

No posting of copyrighted material-The use or posting of copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have prior consent is not allowed. You cannot legally post entire magazine or news articles in the forum without permission from the copyright holder. Even if you attribute the article correctly it’s still copyright infringement.

Copyright law does not care if you make any money off of the work or not, what matters is if you hurt the potential income of the copyright holder.

Under Fair Use provisions you can legally post a small abstract of an article - or perhaps the opening paragraph. If you want to post an article you should do this and include a link, or just post the link. The exception to this rule is press releases; press releases are meant for distribution and can be copied and distributed as much as you want.

If you are not sure if you can copy something then always err on the side of caution and simply post a link to the material.

Information, including pictures, copyrighted or owned by any individual or entity other than the member should not be posted on the discussion forums without the consent of the owner. If such an event occurs, the individual posting the information shall be held solely responsible.

If you would like more information concerning copyright got to www.copyright.gov.
